Globalization has given rise to increasingly segmented and competitive tourism markets. Companies wishing to expand their business must internationalize and position themselves in foreign markets, while they face new challenges in terms of commercial management when organizing sales in uncertain environment characterized by cultural differences.

Factors including geopolitical instability in certain regions, the emergence of low cost companies and changing habits in many societies have led to significant changes in the international tourism sector. These changes have led to the need for professionals capable of understanding the complexity and dynamics of international tourism.

With all of this in mind, Ostelea has decided to develop a programme in Master in International Tourism Management, majoring in International Tourism Destination Management, the objective of which is to equip professionals and directors to lead global business projects in the tourism industry.

Reasons to take the Master in International Tourism Management at Ostelea:

  • On completion of the Master, students studying at the Barcelona campus receive an Official University Qualification from the Universitat de Lleida (*Master currently in the Verification Process). Students taking the programme at the Valencia campus receive a University Qualification from the Universitat Internacional de Valencia.
  • 4-day residential programme in Madrid: Specialist training with representatives from the World Tourism Organization (WTO), Turismo de España and the embassy of a guest country each year.
  • Series of meetings with Hotel and Restaurant Managers.
  • Professional internships in companies and institutions related to the sector.
  • Research groups: Members of the academic faculty of the Master form part of EAE’s Multi-disciplinary Tourism research Group EAE (GRIT-EAE), which focuses its scientific output on the field of International Tourism Management.
  • Campuses in Barcelona and Valencia, two of Spain’s leading tourism destinations.
