The fourth edition of EAE Business School's Global Executive MBA gets under way on 25th September in Madrid. A total of 35 students will be taking part in the program that includes stages in Asia, America and Europe. The students come from a range of backgrounds, including engineering, Business Administration and Management, marketing and finances, having gained a wealth of professional experience in companies such as Copa Airlines Panamá, Marriott International, Banco del Crédito de Perú, Banco Agrario de Colombia, Hill International, GlaxoSmithKline and Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, among others.
EAE's Global Executive MBA is one of the most reputable programs at an international level in relation to aspects such as the employability of graduates and the international composition of the student body, according to the Best Global MBAs 2017 Ranking, drafted by the prestigious journal Expansión.
The program is structured into 60 ECTS credits spread over five modules of executive knowledge: Global Environment and Markets, Personnel Management, Strategic Resources, Strategic Management and the Business Plan. The development of the Business Plan is one of the key features of the Global Executive MBA and it is presented during the residential stage in New York, before a panel consisting of professors from Kean University and EAE.
The Director of the Global Executive MBA is Dr. Aras Keropyan, Global Analytics Director at Schneider Electric. He has a PhD in Business Administration & Management from the Universitat de Barcelona and a Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences from the Universitat de Barcelona and an Industrial Engineering and Mathematics Diploma from the Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul. He was recently interviewed by Forbes magazine about the program.
The first in-person stage of the Master is held in Madrid, followed by the middle stage in Shanghai (Shanghai University) and the last stage in New York (Kean University). These modules combine the subject presentations, lectures by guest professionals from each country, visits to companies and organizations in each region, practical sessions focusing on executive skills and individual coaching sessions.
In the first residential stage, the students make their first contact with the program and take part in activities to enhance their integration as a group. In Madrid, they visit the company LG Electronics, which design household electronic products. The program of this residential stage then moves to Segovia, one of Spain's most historical cities that has been declared a World Heritage Site, where students will have some free time, attend a dinner event and stay in an historic hotel.
During the second residential stage, the participants will visit the company Interface China, take part in a team building activity, take a guided tour around the city and attend training sessions focusing on executive skills, leadership and change, lectures at Shanghai University, individual coaching sessions and seminars to work on and organize their Business Plan. In the last residential stage in New York, among other activities, the participants will visit the courier multinational FedEx, take part in a team building activity, attend lectures and present their Business Plans.
EAE's academic partner on the Global Executive MBA, Shanghai University was founded in 1922 and currently ranks as the fourth most important academic institution in the Municipality of Shanghai. Located at the heart of the city, the institution provides university and postgraduate tuition in different fields of knowledge related to Economics, Science, Technology and Culture. Shanghai University is a member of China's National Project 211, associated to research and development.
EAE's other academic partner on this Global MBA program is Kean University, an accredited institution in Union County in New Jersey.
