EAE Business School has been named in prestigious Best International Business Schools 2018 ranking of the US journal Bloomberg Businessweek as one of the best 32 business schools in the world to take an MBA outside of the United States. In the case of EAE, this accolade has been awarded to the Full-Time MBA and the International MBA.
In this edition, for the first time, Bloomberg Businessweek highlights the networking opportunities generated by the School; the recompense for taking the master or, in other words, the return on the investment through increased salary or a better position; the learning experience of the students compared to other schools, with a particular emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship; the diversity of the students; and the transformation that students undergo on completion of the MBA at the School.
With this classification from Bloomberg, EAE ranks among the top 5 Spanish business schools named on the renowned ranking, which once again highlights the quality of Spanish MBA programs and the international prestige of studying in Spain.
The 2018 Bloomberg ranking of the best business schools to take an MBA outside the USA is headed by IMD, followed by London Business School and INSEAD. IESE and Cambridge (Judge) complete the top five in the ranking.
BLOOMBERG BUSINESSWEEK, AN EXCELLENT METHODOLOGY
To prepare the ranking, interviews were carried out with 10,473 students, 11% more than in 2017 and accounting for 15% of the overall result; 15,050 former students, who took the MBA between 2009 and 2012, 50% more than the last edition, accounting for 30%; and a total of 3,698 employers who have recruited from business schools participating in the ranking, which is equivalent to 35% of the final result. The ranking also takes into account the percentage of graduates who got a full-time job within three months of graduating (10%), and the starting salary after completing the MBA (10%). A total of 124 business schools all over the world, including North America, form part of this league table.
EAE’S MBA PROGRAMS, PART OF THE WORLD’S ELITE

Rankings including QS Global MBA, América Economía and CNN Expansión have also acknowledged the EAE Business School’s MBA. In the case of QS, for instance, the league table valued the return of investment (ROI) and the multicultural profile of the students very highly.

The authors stress the strength of the EAE programs with respect to the Value for Money indicator, which analyses return on investment and the average period needed for recovery after graduation. What’s more, QS highlights its diversity referring to the percentage of women amongst the students and teachers, and the percentage of international teachers and students.
The EAE MBA rises 50 places on the QS world ranking
For the first time, QS recognises the EAE Masters in Project Management and Stock Exchange and Financial Markets among the 100 best in the world in their respective categories.
In EAE’s MBAs, the ranking highlights values such as the parity of their students and teachers, as well as the international character and the economic return on investment.
The Full Time EAE Business School (www.eae.es) MBA has been highlighted among the 65 best in Europe and the 200 best in the world, on the QS Global MBA 2018 ranking. The MBA climbs 15 and 50 places, respectively, and positions itself as one of the best in the world.
THE EAE MBAs, AMONG THE BEST IN EUROPE AND THE WORLD
QS Global MBA rankings places the MBAs of EAE Business School in the range of 151-200 of the 232 schools evaluated, whereas on the ranking of European business schools, EAE’s MBAs come 49-65 of a total of 70 institutions assessed in this edition.
This ranking points to the EAE MBA’s outstanding values as the parity between its students and teachers, and also their international character as the students come from different countries like Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Mexico, Russia, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States. Another value that QS has stressed is the economic return on the investment made in the master’s degree.
EAE’s MBA is one of the management programs of greatest tradition in Spain, with 50 years of history. The MBA Full Time, International MBA, International MBA - Madrid Shanghai and International MBA - Barcelona New York programs are among the most reputed MBAs in the world and in Europe regarding the employability they offer their students. In Europe, the ranking is led by INSEAD (France), HEC Paris (France), London Business School (United Kingdom), Said Business School- University of Oxford (United Kingdom) and IE Business School (Spain).
The methodology of the ranking is one of the most demanding of the sector as QS performs two surveys in drawing it up. In the first, 12,125 recruiters, headhunters and employers of professionals (with MBAs) from around the world are asked to give information about which are the best MBA programs in terms of employability. The second is carried out among 76,798 academics, including 8,376 experts in the areas of business and management, who give information on the business schools that produce the best academic research. The QS ranking is one of the most prestigious alongside that of Forbes, Financial Times and The Economist.
VALUE FOR MONEY
The Value for Money indicator analyses return on investment and the average recovery period following graduation. The return on investment indicator is calculated comparing the opportunity cost of a program with the international cost of housing, the sacrificed salary and the cost of living (using the Mercer index) in the place of the program against the annual salary premium that the student can earn on an annual base. When the salary premium is added to the opportunity cost, the investment repays itself. The sum of all of this is the return on investment.
In this indicator, EAE achieves more and stands above the global and regional averages of Finance. EAE’s score is 68.6, 63.8% above the global average of 41.9, whereas it is 54.6% above the average for Europe (44.4).
Just as in the ranking for Finance, this indicator analyses return on investment and the average recovery period following graduation. As also occurs in Finance, in Management EAE also stands above the global and regional averages. EAE’s score is 70.3, 59.7% above the global average of 44.0, whereas it is 64.0% above the European average (42.9).
The indicators in which the work of the school stands out are relative to Value for Money and Diversity, just as in the ranking of Finance. Value for Money stands above the Global and European average (EAE’s score is 68.6, 63.8% above the global average of 41.9, and 54.6% above the average for Europe (44.4).

The Global Business Schools 2017 league table, prepared by the journal América Economía, strives to provide guidance to Latin American students when embarking on Master and Postgraduate studies in the best business schools around the world.
EAE rises 8 places to the Top 25 in the América Economía 2018 ranking
EAE Business School has been highlighted for the third year in a row among the best Business Schools in the world, by América Economía. In the 2018 edition of the “MBA Global 2018” ranking, EAE climbs 8 positions to the Top 25 of the best business schools in the world. This ranking analyses which are the most prestigious business schools for Latin American students among a total of 51 institutions around the world. The ranking was led by Stanford Graduate School of Business, followed by Harvard Business School, IESE Business School, Haas School of Business and HEC Paris.
Among the data published by the ranking, EAE Business School is in the Top 10 of Business Schools worldwide with greater parity between men and women participating in MBA programmes. EAE is also ranked in the Top 5 Business Schools with the greatest network power in Latin America and with the best multicultural experience for its MBA students.
RANKING “MBA GLOBAL 2018”
The “MBA Global 2018” ranking, prepared by América Economía, aims to guide Latin American students on Master's and Postgraduate studies in the best business schools around the world.
In the 2018 edition, Innovation, understood as the School’s focus on pedagogical innovation, student research and development, was the main decisive factor in the measurement made by the ranking, increasing its weight much more than in previous editions. This allowed EAE to climb positions and Stanford to be chosen as the best school in the ranking. In addition to this factor, the main points that the ranking evaluated were, among others, the percentage of foreign students, the parity in the % of women enrolled, the students’ multicultural experience, the number of nationalities, the percentage of foreign teachers and the percentage of students admitted to the School. Thus, the five dimensions used to develop the ranking are: multicultural experience and student diversity; requirements of the admission process; presence and network of professionals of the institution in Latin America; accredited international prestige, and innovation.
Master in Project Management, among the 35 best in Europe
The Master in Project Management, in its Full Time, English, Executive Education and Global Education versions has appeared for the first time on the Eduniversal ranking among the 35 best European master’s degrees in the area of project management, in a classification led by Rotterdam School of Management, Maastricht University and Lyon Business School. The institution also stands out among the Top 5 of Project Management master’s degrees in Spain.
Master in Business Intelligence and Technological Innovation amongst the world Top 40
For the first time since it was launched, EAE Business School’s Master in Business Intelligence and Technological Innovation, in its Full Time and Executive Education versions, has appeared on the Eduniversal ranking amongst the 40 best master’s degrees in the world in the area of business intelligence, a ranking led by Universidade Nova de Lisboa – Information Management School, ESADE and Maastricht University. Seven EAE Business School master’s degrees have been recognised amongst the best in the world in their areas of knowledge according to the Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking Worldwide 2016-2017. The highlighted programs are the MBA Full Time, Master in Supply Chain Management, Master in Corporate Communication Management, Master in Human Resource Management, Master in Project Management, Master in Business Intelligence and Technological Innovation, and Master in Stock Exchange and Financial Markets. The School therefore significantly increases the presence of its programs on the Eduniversal ranking, going from three master’s degrees highlighted on it last year, to seven this year.
The Eduniversal ranking analyses more than 4000 master’s degrees and MBAs from thirty different areas of knowledge. This ranking is only open to the best 1,000 business schools in the world (there are around 15,000) and EAE is one of them.
The MBA Full Time said the European ranking of best MBAs for the first time and is now in the Top 35 of programs of this area led by Copenhagen Business School, INSEAD and IESE. The Eduniversal recognition adds to the fact that a few months ago EAE Business School’s Full Time MBS programs were highlighted amongst the 250 best in the world according to the QS Global 250 Business Schools Report 2017. EAE was also highlighted amongst the 82 best European educational centres giving the MBA Full Time.
Master in Supply Chain Management, among the 90 best in the world
The Full Time, English, Executive Education and Global Education Master in Supply Chain Management is once more placed among the 90 best master’s degree in the area of Operations and Logistics in the world, on a ranking led by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Additionally, for the fourth consecutive year, this Master’s degree is recognised as the third best in the area of logistics in Spain.
As well as the Eduniversal recognition, in 2016 it was highlighted as the second best master’s degree in the area of operations and logistics in Spain, according to El Mundo’s “250 mejores masters” ranking.
Master in Corporate Communication Management, in the European Top 35
The Full Time and Global Education versions of the Mastering Corporate Communication Management rise one place from last year and now rank 33rd among the Top 35 best European masters degrees in the area of communication, on a list headed by the Copenhagen Business School, London School of Economics and University of Mannheim. With these results, EAE’s Master in Corporate Communication Management has been among the best of the area of Communication for 11 years, as in 2016 it was also heralded as the best communication master’s degree in Spain on the El Mundo “250 mejores masters” ranking.
Master in Human Resource Management, among the 45 best in Europe
The Full Time, English and Executive versions of the Mastering Human Resource Management rises one place and is now the 44th best program on the Top 45 of best European Masters degrees in the area of people management, the list being headed by the Copenhagen Business School, Università Bocconi and Rotterdam School of Management. This recognition comes in addition to the fact that in 2016 it was ranked third on the list of human resource master’s degrees in Spain according to the newspaper El Mundo’s “250 mejores masters” ranking.

The "Las Mejores Escuelas de Negocios Globales 2016” (Best Global Business Schools 2016) ranking drawn up by the Chilean América Economía magazine, is intended to guide Latin American students in their choice of master's degrees and postgraduate diplomas at the world's best business schools.
In the 2016 edition, the main points focusing the evaluation included the percentage of foreign students, the number of nationalities, the percentage of foreign teachers, the percentage of women enrolled or admitted to the School. The publication approaches the classification from four dimensions in establishing its ranking: the students' multicultural experience; the demands in the admission process; the institution's presence in Latin America, and; the international prestige of the School.
The “Global MBA 2017” ranking, drawn up by the prestigious Mexican journal Expansión aims to identify the best business schools in the world and their global MBA programs from the perspectives of both the students and the teachers.
In this edition, the publication invited 168 of the best business schools in the world to take part. The methodology of the ranking as one of the most demanding in the sector as in drawing it up, Expansión made a total of four surveys. In the first, made among all of the participating business schools, variables were analysed such as the profile of the students, the generated academic research, the composition and academic training of the teaching staff, employability and salary range of the students, as well as their multiculturalism and territorial diversity. The other three surveys are made of three stakeholders of the sector: readers of the publication, teachers of MBA programs given in México, and graduates of MBA programs in the country’s institutions.

The “Los mejores MBA globales 2017” ranking, drawn up by the prestigious Mexican journal Expansión, highlights EAE Business School among the best business schools in the world on a classification led by Harvard, Stanford and Wharton.
EAE’s Global Executive MBA stands among the 60 best programs in the world.
EAE Business School and the School’s Global Executive MBA have been highlighted amongst the best in the world according to the “Los mejores MBA globales 2017” ranking made by the prestigious Mexican journal Expansión. The classification draws up two different rankings, one which highlights the best business schools in the world, and the other that considers the best Global Executive MBA programs.
On the list of “The best schools and universities of the world on full-time programs”, EAE stands out as the 73rd best business school in the world. The ranking is headed by Harvard, Stanford and Wharton. Amongst the Spanish schools, EAE is the second-most appreciated business school in Mexico, both by the readers of the magazine and by former MBA students. What’s more, EAE is the third best Spanish school in the opinion of the teachers of MBA Programs. Something else that is of interest is that EAE stands out by offering gender equality amongst the students on its MBA programs.
On the classification “The best schools and universities with executive master’s degrees in administration”, EAE’s Global Executive MBA lies amongst the 58 best in the world. The top three positions are held by the Executive MBA Global Program of the London Business School, Executive MBA of Chicago Booth and the Wharton MBA for Executives.
