The Master is primarily aimed at graduates with the following Bachelor Degrees or University Diplomas:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance
  • Bachelor Degree in Economics
  • University Diploma in Business Science

  • Other Bachelor Degree or official qualifications with tuition plans that include finance or business economics courses.

The objective of the admission process is to ensure the suitability of the candidates based on their academic and professional background, taking into consideration their letter of motivation and personal interview, as well as their academic report and professional experience.

Access

In accordance with the provisions of Article 16 of Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29th October, in general, students can access official Master tuition programs if they meet the following requirements:

  • Students must hold an official Spanish university qualification, or a qualification issued by a higher education institution in a country that is a member of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that entitles the student to access Master tuition programs.

  • In addition, the program may be accessed by graduates from education systems outside of the European Higher Education Area without the need for official equivalence accreditation, pending verification by the University that the qualifications accredit an equivalent level of training to official Spanish university qualifications and entitle the graduate to access postgraduate studies in the country that issued the qualification. Under no circumstances does access via this channel imply the official equivalence accreditation of the previous qualification that the interested party holds, nor its recognition for purposes other than accessing the Master program.

  • In the case of graduates from education systems outside of the European Higher Education Area who do not have official equivalence accreditation for their foreign qualification, the board of the centre overseeing the Master may request any documentation that it deems necessary to verify that the qualification meets the specific access conditions for this Master, including the official equivalence accreditation for the qualification in the event that it is not possible to verify with certainty that the foreign qualification meets the access requirements.

Admission

The key objective of the admission process for the University Master in Financial Consultancy and Planning is to ensure the candidates’ suitability based on their professional career and academic background. All the participants must be equipped to take full advantage of this learning experience within a context in which they can develop a long-term relationship with classmates, lecturers and former students.

To begin the admission process, candidates have to complete the admission application for the Master. In the event that the candidate meets the general admission requirements, the next step is to schedule a personal interview in which, as well as evaluating their cognitive and rational aspects, they verify that the candidate matches the Master admission profile and a good fit with the rest of the students in the group. After a successful interview, the candidate is asked to submit the documentation required to certify that they meet the access requirements

The final decision on the candidate’s admission to the Master is based on the weighting of a set of factors to reach an overall decision, taking into consideration both the candidate’s alignment to the desired Master admission and the creation of a group of students characterized by a certain degree of diversity that enriches the learning process but which, at the same time, is balanced in terms of the different dimensions to be taken into account.

The following factors are taken into consideration:

  • Academic report
  • Academic curriculum
  • Professional experience
  • Letter of motivation
  • Personal interview

Lastly, if the Admission Committee of the University Master in Financial Consultancy and Planning issue a positive decision, the candidate can proceed with their enrolment.
