Yolanda OrtĆz (YO), the HR Generalist at Avon, and Natalia BenĆtez (NB), a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Carrefour, discuss their companies' expectations and objectives for Talent EAE Madrid 2019.
Is this the first time you have taken part in Talent Week? In either case, what are your expectations of this employability and talent event?
Ā (YO Avon) Yes, this is the first time we are taking part. In terms of expectations, we plan to present AVON to the students as an employer brand, to find interesting profiles for our organization and maintain the fluid relationship that we currently have with EAE.
(NB Carrefour) No, we have taken part on other occasions. Carrefour expects to meet EAE students personally, who want to work in a leading company in the retail sector. ?
Taking part in Talent EAE enables organizations to attract talent and fill specific positions. What profiles are in the highest demand? What skills do you need at your company?
(YO Avon) At Avon, most of the office is related to the Marketing area, where the tasks are focused on the fields of Digital, market and demand analysis, Product, Design and Production. However, we also have two financial departments that specialize in accounting, forecasts and tax, among other activities. Other departments where there may be opportunities include Sales, Legal, Human Resources and IT.
(NB Carrefour) STEM profiles are currently in the highest demand. However, the core of our business is our physical stores, for which we need to incorporate profiles who are passionate about retail and highly customer-oriented. ?
With respect to talent acquisition and contracting, what are professionals going to find when they join your company? To what extent will it mark a change in their professional career?
(YO Avon) They would be coming to work in a multinational, dynamic, multicultural and very specific environment as it involves direct sales in the beauty and cosmetics sector.
(NB Carrefour) They will be joining a company that is committed to internal talent and professional development, where 92% of the directors have reached their post through a process of internal promotion. ?
EAE Business School offers high-level training on Masters specialized in the different sectors. In this respect, what talent sets EAE students apart?
(YO Avon) They are international students, with a good level of languages and impressive professional experience in their home countries.
(NB Carrefour) The EAE students who have worked with us stand out because of their global and international vision and high level of languages. In addition, they are well aligned with the digital transformation that large multinationals are currently undergoing. ?
Business Schools like EAE work actively with companies and an event on the scale of Talent EAE is a good example of this collaboration. Why are current and former EAE students an interesting option for companies? ?
(NB Carrefour) Because they have very specialized training and great potential to develop in the company.
