Marta de Llauder, the Director of Talent Point, the human resources consultancy specializing in undergraduate and junior professional profiles, came to EAE to present the international employment fair JOBMadrid, which will be held for the second time in the Spanish capital on 21st November. "Coming to the event gives young people the opportunity to make contact with companies and begin to define their preferences in the professional world".
Allianz, Cepsa, Indra and Nestlé are just a few of the more than 60 companies and institutions that will be taking part in the year's edition of JOBMadrid. "The companies participating in this congress come to find out about and get to know candidates. One of the strong points of the event is that the people manning the stands are human resources professionals from the end company, which is a requirement set by Talent Point for companies to take part. This is because they know the company's values first hand and can convey them better to the candidates".
All the participating companies post internship and employment offers, at both a national and international level. They are looking for candidates in the last year of their Bachelor or Master Degree, new graduates and professionals with experience, but always with a junior profile and up to a maximum age of 40. In addition, they require demonstrable competences in communication, commercial skills, use of technological tools, command of languages, autonomy and an international profile. A lot of value is also placed on having taken part in the Erasmus program.
During the Company Meeting, Marta emphasized two qualities that organizations are starting to value above all others: commitment and passion. "Companies are looking for committed young people because they invest a great deal in training and development in order to retain talent. Over the last three years, we have detected a lot of movement in the professional world and the aspect that is going to set certain candidates out from the rest is their attitude".
The profiles in the highest demand include those related to technology, engineers, physicists, telecommunications and mathematics. They are all oriented towards the new professions and needs that are emerging on the employment market, such as in the case of data analysis and big data. The director of Talent Point also highlighted a change in the way we work. "We will eventually end up working flexibly, not in such a localized way, on various projects at the same time. Young people joining the professional market seem to like this format".
Marta de Llauder explained to the EAE students that all the companies that take part in JOBMadrid meet two criteria: they are growing and they are recruiting. Therefore, all the companies taking part have selection processes currently under way. "Before coming to the fair, it is important that you register on the platform jobmadrid.com to find out which organizations and institutions will be there. The candidates should include all their details. When they are interested in an offer, it is essential that they register for it so that their application reaches the company directly".
Each of the offers is accompanied by a description of the position and the company, but not all the vacant positions available are published. Over the course of JOBMadrid, the companies will post new offers. The venue of the fair is El Matadero and it runs from 18th to 21st November from 09:30 to 19.00 continuously. The event will also include more than 50 conferences and workshops related to the professional world and recruitment processes.
