Bacardi, Pepe Jeans and Catenon are just some of the 71 companies participating in Talent EAE, which will be held tomorrow at EAE's Barcelona Campus. Juliana Caicedo, the Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Manager at Pepe Jeans London; David Acevedo, the HR Business Partner at Bacardi, and Montserrat Sanromà, the Financial Services & Real Estate Manager at Catenon Worldwide Executive Search, took part in this quick survey to find out their expectations, requirements and the skills needed in their personnel departments.
Expectations of Talent EAE 2019
Juliana Caidedo (Pepe Jeans) This is not the first time that we are taking part in EAE's Talent Week. In fact, this will be the third time that we have had the opportunity to participate. In terms of our expectations of the event, we hope to match the previous editions, in which we had the chance to discover some great talent first-hand.
David Acevedo (BACARDI) In our case, this is the first time we are participating. In any case, we would like to present our brand to all the candidates and potential future candidates. We also want to find the talent we are looking for, to fill the positions that we currently have open or that will be open in the short or medium term.
Montserrat Sanromà (Catenon) This is the first time that Catenon is taking part. We have a number of objectives: to present company and our methodology (web model), tell the students what type of profiles we are recruiting, attract talent, help the students to integrate in the professional world (advice and tips), present the various employment opportunities currently offered by Catenon and give an example of a good CV.
Profiles in the highest demand
Montserrat Sanromà (Catenon) Profiles in the highest demand are perhaps in IT. Digital profiles, Big Data, digital communication, hardware and software engineers (electric car). Profiles that fit well with the digitals hubs that are being created, including profiles in HR, Master Data, Finance, Accounting, Data Science and Project Management.
David Acevedo (BACARDI) At Bacardi, we are always looking more for profiles in Sales, Consumer Marketing and Customer Marketing, but we may occasionally have vacancies in all the departments.
Juliana Caidedo (Pepe Jeans) At Pepe Jeans, we have all kinds of profiles, from financial specialists to designers. However, regardless of the department, we are always looking for people with a positive attitude, passion for what they do and a desire to keep learning! In my opinion, these are the ingredients for success.
Skills required at their company
Montserrat Sanromà (Catenon) Key competences: flexibility/adaptability, creativity, positive attitude, honesty, initiative and a desire to learn. At Catenon, "attitude is everything". We also value teamwork, the capacity to make decisions and resolve problems, as well as strong communication skills.
David Acevedo (BACARDI) We would like to present our brand to all the candidates and potential future candidates. We also want to find the talent we are looking for, to fill the positions that we currently have open or that will be open in the short or medium term. We are looking for people who manage change well, who are team players, with a passion and drive to form part of our family, a high degree of flexibility/learning capacity. Moreover, we want all the people who come to form part of our families to really embody our three fundamental pillars: Family, Fearless and Founders Mentality.
The training of EAE Business School's students and alumni
Montserrat Sanromà (Catenon) As they come from an international background, having worked in other countries, they are intercultural profiles with a great level of adaptability to new environments. From the very start, students are presented with real, practical case studies to resolve, so they have a great deal of practical experience.
David Acevedo (BACARDI) In our experience, EAE students are very multi-talented, as well as multicultural. While they may not have any professional experience, they have displayed a great capacity for learning and knowledge.
Juliana Caidedo (Pepe Jeans) In my opinion, the differential value that EAE students offer comes from the international setting they operate in, which gives them a more global overview of the world, and essential quality when setting out in the professional world.
Talent EAE as a high-coverage employability event
Montserrat Sanromà (Catenon) The learning experience with a special emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship. Practical case studies presented by the lecturers. Workshops, webinars and the diversity of the students.
David Acevedo (BACARDI) They are very dynamic, multiskilled profiles with good skills for any kind of company, so they are sure to be highly valued in the employment market.
Attracting and contracting professionals at their companies
David Acevedo (BACARDI) People come to work with us join a young, dynamic and multicultural company (with over 26 nationalities). Moreover, they soon realise that, at Bacardi, we are one big family. It doesn't matter which department you work in, our family culture will always prevail. We are big advocates of operating without fear: without fear of making decisions, of doing the right thing and making mistakes.
Montserrat Sanromà (Catenon) International and growth opportunities within the company.
Juliana Caidedo (Pepe Jeans) The professionals that come to work at Pepe Jeans join a multinational with the soul of a startup. A company in which they can contribute and create, where their opinions count and, most importantly, where they can put all their knowledge into practice.
