Section 5.2. of EAE's Employment Report gives an overview of the School's links to the entrepreneurial ecosystem through the companies that work with the School, agreements with prestigious institutions such as Babson College and the company and networking events held in 2018. At the end of the section, EAE's partners, lecturers, mentors and coaches offer their opinions and personal experiences of the direct contact with the School's entrepreneurs.
Babson Collaborative is the name of the partnership between Babson College, the leading US university in the field of entrepreneurship, and EAE Business School's Department of Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking. The School has four campuses, all in the United States and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the New England Association of Schools and Universities and the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
This partnership generates a series benefits for all the education systems as it promotes teacher development, with the academic faculty taking part in activities organized by Babson, which help them to keep up with the cutting edge of business education and entrepreneurship. Moreover, the contact enables the creation of affiliation networks to generate an online community, as well as giving students the opportunity to take part in a special custom-made program.
As well as training and generating synergies, EAE's Department of Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking has organized companies and networking, including to the visit to Google Campus Madrid, a prestigious entrepreneurship ecosystem at which they had the opportunity to meet Victoriano Izquierdo, the CEO and Co-founder of Graphext, a startup incubated at the campus. They also visited the offices of Crowdfarming and the corporate venture builder, Byld. These off-campus sessions were combined with talks and presentations with experts in the field, such as Mariano Torrecilla, the entrepreneur and trainer, who came to the EAE Lab Incubator to explain the details of their latest project stockproject.io. Elena Garci?a, the Director of Banco Sabadell's Bstartup Madrid, gave a presentation on financing alternatives for startups.
To a large extent, EAE's entrepreneurial ecosystem is underpinned by the support of partners with a great deal to contribute, such as Loreto Calero, a Mentor at Ára Jurídica for Entrepreneur, the International Liaison Partner for Auditing and Consultancy and Managing Partner for Consultancy at Crowe Spain; Elena García, the Director of Bstartup at Banco Sabadell; Anindya Saha, a team mentor at EAE Lab and experts in financial training and General Partner at NERO Ventures; Ángel Manuel Rafael, the CEO at IDIMAS; and Álvaro Cuesta, a mentor at EAE Lab, expert in training on Lean Canvas and business model creation and CEO at Sonar Ventures. In Álvaro's opinion, the EAE Lab Incubator is the ideal tools for any students who has taken a Master, decided to launch an entrepreneurial venture and put their plans into action, focus on their project and approach the market with the coordinated support of a team of professionals keen to guide them and support them throughout the process.
The expert in the expert in the entrepreneurial attitude to challenges and their positive management, Ignasi Tribó, the COO at MyPoppins, explained how to mete out the risk and approach a professional career in the world of startups. "It is important to emphasize the concepts that should drive entrepreneurs, such as their attitude and the desire to build and contribute to the business world and, as such, to society".
Jorge Urios, the expert in online marketing training at EAE Lab, the Founder of Ecommerce Moda and Openlab Solutions, gives theoretical and practical classes that equip the entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools required to establish online conversion funnels.
For mentors such as Izanami Martínez, the Founder & CEO de The Notox Institute, it is important to help the team to ask themselves the right questions and eliminate their fear of failure. "The best thing is to make as many mistakes as possible as fast as they can so that they can rule out the invalid hypotheses they will encounter along the way". The coach and investor Jesús Alonso Gallo also takes part, offering his insights as an expert in sales training and Chief Sales Officer at The Primos NYC Inc.
Team motivation is the speciality of José Luis Santamaría, the CEO os Newbeing,which is the same area of expertise as Jacobo Paragés, the team coach at EAE Lab and associate member of Huete & Co. Paragés shares his insight into the key factors for overcoming the hard times along the road of entrepreneurship and offer a practical perspective. This tips include advice on emotional management and the technical tools entrepreneurs need to achieve success in their projects. The importance of these sessions is fundamental for motivating the EAE Lab team members, who benefit from the support and accompaniment of a group of experts to develop their skills, get valuable advice and control their emotions.
