With a perfect knowledge of the technology industry, Luis Montero has headed digital transformation projects and is highly skilled in the fields of innovation management, IT strategy, digital business models and the organization of high-performing teams.
You are going to take part in the Alumni Reunion 2018 to be held in the VIP Box of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in representation of the technology company Microsoft. What expectations do you have of this event?
Being able to share the forum with former students of a business school as prestigious as EAE is always an experience and an opportunity to share experiences and learn from the experiences of the other participants.
What does it mean for Microsoft to share its knowledge with former students of EAE Business School?
The opportunity to share our vision of how artificial Intelligence is changing people's lives, improving and transforming current business models, as well as creating entirely new and disruptive ones.
What messages are you going to convey during your speech at the EAE Talks?
Microsoft's vision of how to define a strategy in artificial intelligence within an organization in order to enable it to become a smart organization. Artificial intelligence will bring about a holistic transformation of organizations and those that do not have a strategy in place to embrace it at the core of their businesses will be at a disadvantage compared to their rivals.
The Annual Alumni Reunion brings together key figures related to business, including Jonas Kjellberg, the Co-Founder of Skype, the keynote speaker at this year's edition, Mitch Lowe, the Co-Founder of Netflix in 2017 and Ken Segall, the former Creative Director of Apple in 2016. What is your opinion of this type of initiatives run by an organization like EAE Business School?
It is a really great initiative for promoting the connection between former students and innovation in three sectors (technology, innovation and entrepreneurship).
The Alumni Community is a platform for former EAE students that fosters networking. To what extent do you consider this to be an important point for companies?
It is an extremely valuable factor for learning about experiences in other fields and sectors, and connecting with former students.
Why do you think that it is important to take part in this type of forums and events that facilitate the sharing of knowledge and ways of seeing life?
My passion for innovation has enabled me to learn from your capacity to innovate, which is all linked to the effective use of methodologies and creativity, but it is not the most important element, which is really the quantity of insights that you are able to absorb and then put into practice to resolve problems creatively and innovatively. This kind of forum is idea for learning and gathering fresh information.
