In the Anglo-Saxon educational model, Minors or specialities are blocks of subjects which, referring to the same area of knowledge, together form secondary learning material, sometimes disconnected from the master’s degree. In other words: from the main area of knowledge.
In EAE too, the speciality or minor you choose does not necessarily have to be related to the branch of your main program, as its contents are easily transferable. The completion and passing of a speciality implies the concession of the corresponding mention along with the EAE qualification itself. Each minor has three subjects, which are offered at the end of the teaching period of the master’s degree and before the final work is defended.
The introduction of specialities transversely enriches master’s degree study plans, improves the acquisition of competencies and skills which all have a positive effect on your employability, as they are smaller in format and easier to adapt to the needs of the jobs market, and contributes to your networking with students on other EAE Masters degrees.
The EAE offer of minors is open to all students on Full Time and Executive Education EAE Masters degrees, both in April and October, and brings no additional cost. You can also do a speciality offered in English even though the language on your master’s degree is Spanish, and vice versa.
The initial program of the minors of each call is drawn up on the basis of the comparative study of the offer of our academic partners, of the training needs transmitted by our Advisory Boards, and the continuous process of skills analysis which, along with our recruiters, is carried out by the EAE Professional Careers Service through its monitoring of our students’ progress in their professional practice.
You can say what speciality you want to do when the course has started, and EAE programs advisory sessions run by the director of each one.
• A minimum of 15 students is needed to start the teaching of a certain speciality.
• The timetables of the specialities are compatible with the morning and afternoon masters students.
