Tuesday 11th December 2018 - EAE Business School (www.eae.es) has been named in prestigious Best International Business Schools 2018 ranking of the US journal Bloomberg Businessweek as one of the best 32 business schools in the world to take an MBA outside of the United States. In the case of EAE, this accolade has been awarded to the Full-Time MBA and the International MBA.
In this edition, for the first time, Bloomberg Businessweek highlights the networking opportunities generated by the School; the recompense for taking the master or, in other words, the return on the investment through increased salary or a better position; the learning experience of the students compared to other schools, with a particular emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship; the diversity of the students; and the transformation that students undergo on completion of the MBA at the School.
With this classification from Bloomberg, EAE ranks among the top 5 Spanish business schools named on the renowned ranking, which once again highlights the quality of Spanish MBA programs and the international prestige of studying in Spain.
The 2018 Bloomberg ranking of the best business schools to take an MBA outside the USA is headed by IMD, followed by London Business School and INSEAD. IESE and Cambridge (Judge) complete the top five in the ranking.
BLOOMBERG BUSINESSWEEK, AN EXCELLENT METHODOLOGY
To prepare the ranking, interviews were carried out with 10,473 students, 11% more than in 2017 and accounting for 15% of the overall result; 15,050 former students, who took the MBA between 2009 and 2012, 50% more than the last edition, accounting for 30%; and a total of 3,698 employers who have recruited from business schools participating in the ranking, which is equivalent to 35% of the final result. The ranking also takes into account the percentage of graduates who got a full-time job within three months of graduating (10%), and the starting salary after completing the MBA (10%). A total of 124 business schools all over the world, including North America, form part of this league table.
EAE'S MBA PROGRAMS, PART OF THE WORLD'S ELITE
EAE's MBA is one of the long-running executive programs in Spain, dating back 50 years. Therefore, the Full Time MBA, International MBA, International MBA - Madrid Shanghai and International MBA - Barcelona New York rank among the most reputable MBA programs at a European and global level in terms of the employability of the graduates. EAE's MBA gives participants the opportunity to take part in a two-week residential program at Pace University (New York) or Shanghai University, with the courses taught by company executives and lecturers from EAE's partner universities and business schools. These features exemplify the internationalization that has been highlighted in the ranking.
Rankings including QS Global MBA, América Economía and CNN Expansión have also acknowledged the EAE Business School's MBA. In the case of QS, for instance, the league table valued the return of investment (ROI) and the multicultural profile of the students very highly.
"We are proud to form part of some of the most prestigious rankings in the sector, such as Bloomberg, which emphasized key features of our MBA including employability, entrepreneurship and networking. This is the result of the constant teamwork of the different departments that comprise EAE and which strive to ensure a program committed to quality", explained the Dean of EAE Business School, Josep Maria Altarriba.
