Next week sees the start of a new edition of the Online Employment Forum 2014, which has been jointly organized for the last four years by EAE Business School and OBS Online Business School, the first Business Schools to hold an Employment Forum in a 100% online format. The event will run from 30th September until 6th October and can be accessed 24 hours a day from anywhere around the world.
This edition, participating companies include P&G, Pepe Jeans London, Nestlé, Samsung, Carrefour, Novartis, Everis, Ernst & Young, Banco Mediolanum, BDF Beiersdorf, Dell Computers, Grupo Planeta, Decathlon, Phillip Morris International, Audax Energía, Europcar, Voyer International, Cefesa, Top Management, Quilosa Selena Iberia, Winche Redes Comerciales and Talent Search People.
One of the main new developments this year is related to the participating companies as, for the first time since in the history of the Employment Forum, four of the leading multinationals in their respective sectors will be participating: Nestlé, Procter & Gamble, Ernst & Young and Philip Morris. Another step forward this year is the introduction of a new version of the Employment Forum 100% adapted for tablets and smartphones, catering for all of the operating systems currently on the market. Thanks to this development, users will enjoy improved accessibility to the Forum, with an enhanced experience available 24 hours a day.
The rest of the functionalities have also been improved. The recruiting companies can upload their employment opportunities directly to their stand, which will give visitors easier access to each offer and increase their visibility. Attendees will be able to chat live to the HR selection professionals at the companies, with the option to leave their CV at each company’s stand, discover the experience of employees who have developed their professional careers in the companies, view company videos and get employment advice. The Forum also has an EAE and OBS information stand offering constant support to visitors. The Forum can be accessed for six days without interruption. Visitors first have to take the Orientation Test which will indicate the recruiting companies that best suit their profile. Afterwards, they can browse the stands of all of the companies using the Stand Map and decide which of them to visit and which employment opportunities to apply for.
In the last edition of the Online Employment Forum, a total of 373 employment positions were on offer in 16 different countries, from the United States to Mexico, as well as Germany, England and Peru. Around 13,000 visitors had the chance to take part in some of the 40 chat sessions that were organized, with the opportunity to talk to the HR selection professionals of the participating companies. This year, we expect the number of visitors to exceed 14,000. In addition, Recruitment Directors collected 5,500 CVs from current and former students of EAE and OBS. You can keep up with the latest news about the Forum on the EAE and OBS social networks, on Twitter with the hashtag #foroeaeobs, and on the LinkedIn groups and company profiles of both Schools.
