The Scientific and Academic Committee of the 7th International Congress on Digital Education and Human Talent Management, Pedagogical models and their technological application in new learning environments, has notified the Teaching Innovation Group (GID-EAE) of its approval for the inclusion of their presentation entitled 'The integration of competences such as self-directed learning in the Bachelor's Thesis'
The event will take place from 17th to 19th May in the city of Orlando, Florida, and its objective is to discover more about learning and teaching in environments underpinned by new information and communication technologies, as well as effectively training future professionals, leaders, drivers, facilitators, experts, civil servants, entrepreneurs, etc., and equipping them with the necessary competences to take on the roles required by the information society and sustainable development.
Based on the open innovation of the information society, where the "technological continuum" becomes clear in terms of the accelerated advance of knowledge, it is important to develop the competences in the professional and employment field, the end destination of which will be the service and production sector. As such, it is vital that we transcend current pedagogical models to embrace the new learning environments.
With this in mind, the aim of the seventh edition of CIFCOM2017 is to share significant experiences and good practices in terms of training and human talent management, within a framework that enables scientific and technological development, pedagogical models and teaching strategies to be applied with a human face, through the new learning scenarios, to ensure great social inclusion and educational coverage.
Presented by Dr. Albert Arisó, the research focuses on the monitoring and analysis of the Bachelor's Theses produced at EAE Business School over a period of 5 years, during which a number of milestones have been established that have gradually enabled us to relate the different factors involved in order to adjust them and consider all of the complexity associated with evaluating a thesis in terms of all of the parties concerned: teachers, students, tutors, etc., the culminating achievement that embodies all of the effort made over the course of their studies.
In this respect, there is an important need to introduce a suitable methodological and integrating approach, taking into consideration the students' reflections in relation to the ability to choose and combine competence together with the evaluating board and the tutors. The objective sought by the research by the Teaching Innovation Group (GID-EAE) is to develop all of the students' potential in the face of the future challenges that they will have to tackle in their social and professional lives.
